AMERY BREAKFAST CLUB
This client was starting a brand new club in the community called Amery Breakfast Club (ABC). All local high school students would be welcome to attend this weekly gathering before school (breakfast time) where they would receive a free meal and get to listen to a positive message by a guest speaker before heading to school for the day. The client reached out to me to design a logo and help get communication channels rolling (primarily social media) to reach the target audience of high school students and their parents.
LOGO CREATION
PRIMARY LOGO
[ ADDED DROP SHADOW ]
[ WHITE + DROP SHADOW ]
Design Inspiration:
-
Warm, earthy colors to give off a comfortable and welcoming feel
-
ABC acronym lined up in bold font for brand identity
-
Script font portrays a breakfast/cafe feeling
-
Circles in design represent a plate--fits "breakfast" theme
-
Client requested that a cross be incorporated into the design even though the "club" isn't a religious organization (wanted it to symbolize positivity and that the weekly gathering would be held in a church for seating & cooking purposes).
-
White logo primarily used as a subtle watermark on dark backgrounds
MATERIAL FOR PRINT
FLYER [ 8.5" x 11" ]
BANNER [ 2' x 6' ]
-
Weatherproof banner to be hung outside near the entrance to the church on gathering days
-
Red font used to "pop" and catch the eye, but also because the local high school's colors are red and white
-
Printable flyer for hanging at the local schools, businesses, etc.
-
QR code linked to Instagram account as all information about the upcoming gatherings (date, time, menu, etc.) would be sent out on Instagram
SOCIAL CONTENT
INSTAGRAM STORY BACKGROUNDS

"MYTH vs. TRUTH" IG POST + IG STORY COMBO
INSTAGRAM FEED VIDEO (30 SEC.)
As a brand new organization to the community, the client wanted to get a very clear message out right away--the organization is NOT a religious club. Yes, the weekly gatherings were to be held in a church and the logo features a "silverware cross," but at no point would any type of religious belief be forced upon anyone attending the gatherings. The church that offered to hold the gatherings was simply an open and willing resource that provided the necessary amenities for a group setting like ABC (ample space, large kitchen, seating, tables, plates, cups, etc.). Essentially, the client wanted to make it clear that ALL are welcome to attend, and the messages shared by guest speakers would simply be those of positivity, not religion. With that, I designed these "Myth vs. Truth" content elements to be posted on the brand's account.
